Wild lupine growing in California's Central Valley. Wildflower in San Joaquin Valley.

From California's 2010 wildflower season. We were covered in lupine as far as you could see that year! California Central Valley.

As for the processing, (RAW file - bit.ly/HullGt) mostly just selective local layer adjustments such as selecting the green by itself to keep the amount of contrast right, this almost automatically brings back the color that was lost because it was one of the darkest colors in the image. Hand blended multiple RAW files to keep the noise out of the shadows and tone down the dynamic range.

Things I did not do, add magenta, place in clouds from another photo (I keep it real), or any kind of Orton Effect such as glow filter or selective blurring. No overly darkened vignetting so I basically took it easy in photoshop. At the end I did add some warmth to it with Nik's Brilliance and Warmth filter in Color Efex Pro 4.
