We witnessed mum give birth to this foal @ 9.13am, it was now 9.18am.
This little one was up and ready to join the rest of the herd within 5 minutes! A great survival instinct as predators are ever present.
They did cross paths with a pack of wild dogs soon after this was taken, but mum's instinct to tread on her afterbirth was enough to keep the pack sated and give enough distance between them.
An amazing and unforgettable scene to witness!
