Illinois State Capitol
3 Shot hand-held HDR
The dome was right above me and getting this shot right was a pain. My neck was sore for the next 15 mins or so. Luckily, I managed to get near perfect symmetry here.
The Illinois capitol is the tallest non-skyscraper capitol in the United States, wooohooo to that, and is in the architectural style of the French Renaissance.
Reason for HDR: The Capitol building is one of the most beautiful places I've yet seen in US. When I entered and looked up at the dome I was awed. The light during that time wasn't great and the single exposure shots don't look that good either which is why I decided to do an HDR for this one, my first successful HDR. This photo might not depict exactly how the dome looks in reality but it does come very close to showing you how beautiful I think it actually is. I hope you enjoyed the photo.
Thank you for visiting. :)
