See the notch scratched in on this guy's nose? That's why he's called Notch. As some of you already know, Notch is one of my favourite lions in the Mara, all the more so now that Clawed and Romeo have gone.
As you can probably tell by the slow shutter speed and high ISO setting, I shot this as it was getting quite dark. It was taken at about 6:40 which was well after sundown.
