I dug a small pit, big enough for my camera to fit in, just inches from this ghost crab's hole. With my lens at beach level, I hooked up my shutter cable release and hoped to catch the crab as it emerged from its hole. My lens choice and framing were all very intentional. I wanted to capture a dramatic scene with the small crab appearing much larger in the foreground, hopefully conveying what the world might look like from the level of a tiny ghost crab. Taken on the island of Tortola.
