Woke up really early this morning and decided to drive to the city to take some pictures with my large format camera. The initial plan was to head to Central Park and shoot some images of spring over there. But then, on my way there, I changed my mind and started wandering around the industrial areas between Queensboro Bridge and Williamsburg Bridge. I went up and down a couple of times looking for just the right spot. This got me in the mood to just stay in Brooklyn and go to a place I always wanted to visit but never went to: Brooklyn Heights. I set my GPS and few minutes later found the perfect parking spot, at one end of the promenade overlooking lower Manhattan.
Once I got there the weather turned just a little too rainy to setup the large format camera. After taking one single image, I decided to switch to the Canon and to experiment a little with HDR. Before today I never took a multiple exposure HDR before, so I wanted to see if i would have been able to get through HDR the exact image I was envisioning when I shot this sequence. Here is the result! Not only I love the way it came out, but it matches 100% my vision of this morning... had you been there you would understand :-)
