Travel for hunting the northern light seemed to be problem since the starting of my trip. The first night with clear and starry sky came with stromy wind, snowy road condition and poor visibility, while I drove from Reykjavik to catch sunrise at Jokulsarlon. Those conditions made me arriving late at Jokulsarlon and I missed the sunrise there.
Moreover, the following night seemed to be cloudy after midnight and the aurora forecast said that northern light activity would be quiet. Anyway, that night should be my only chance for seeing northern light because the forecast predicted the cloudy sky for many nights later.
After dinner had been finished, I were not sure that I would have much chances. I knew only that it would be my only chance to fulfil my dream. So I told my friend that "If we do not have one, it's not because they do not try".
So we were hurry out from the guesthouse to Jokulsarlon to see that the northern light had been waiting to welcome us. I wonder how lucky am I to see its color other than green.
