One of the most stunning aspects of Shanghai is its seemingly endless succession of high-risers and skyscrapers which gives the illusion from up high that the city never ends. The haze and the zoom lens compression from up high conveys that feeling of endlessness, I think.
This was shot from the 81st floor of the Jin Mao tower in Pudong.
