The lions in the Okavango Delta in Botswana have grown accustomed to their water logged environment.
Unlike typical feline behaviour these cats actually take to water without too much fuss.
Here this big territorial male is crossing a deep water channel, instinctively growling and snarling at potential hidden dangers beneath such as Crocodiles.
I have worked with a few guides in the Delta that have actually witnessed Crocs taking Lions...!
...Must have been a big fight!
