Vacationing in L.A. and our son took us to the the Americana Mall in Glendale. Manmade everything and everywhere. Still color prevails; and the laws of motion on water still apply.
With no tripod on this visit, I just sat the Panasonic G2 on the fountain edge, turned and varied the shutter speed to capture the dancing water. There were other shots with the fountains going full blast, but it was this moment just after the action that created the fabulous water shapes.
No magic hour needed here, the colors of the mall took over on their own around 1:45 in the afternoon. No HDR or special processing, except ironically the toning down of the gold dome, which in the untouched photo was too colorful.
