For quite some time now i have thought about capturing the midnightsun high up in the snowy mountains. 2 days ago i finally pulled off the plan.
Me and a good friend started the long climb early in the evening, knowing we had over 1100 m (3600ft) to climb before we could witness the midnightsun. Halfway up my feet were burning and i almost gave up. Not because the climb was heavy or something, it`s just me and my shape at the moment. I thought i was in quite good shape, but 6 months of no sleep makes the body rather tired. So i had to struggle really hard to get up to the top of Lilletinden Mountain, one of the highest peaks in the area.
When the sun shed its golden light over the snowdunes i had forgotten every bit of pain and suffering. This was just a fantastic moment!
Btw, my house is right next to the litttle patch of sea visible in the upper left corner...
