A little owl sits in a pocket of warm light as the first rays of the rising sun shine through the branches of an old oak tree. Although small in the frame, I'm a big fan of habitat images and this is one of my favourite little owl photos as I love the surroundings, and the way it gives us a glimpse in to the life of this lovely little owl as it rests in the warm light after an active night of hunting for food.
