Kathmandu is a city full of temples. There was a time, when it was commonplace to hear that there are as many temples as there are people in Kathmandu.

Times have changes, modernity has caught up, the lifestyle is caught up in between the bittersweet chaotic mixture of East and West with the newer generation. Kathmanduits are shedding away taciturn attitudes, old stigmas and bad aspects of the religion and in the process a good cultural tradition are loosing their importance as well.

A temple in Pashupati area faces it first morning sunlight for the day. Sun is considered Godly in Hinduism, as in many other religion, and there is a ritual called sun-wroshipping that takes places ever morning. Scientifically speaking, a good amount of exposure to the sun is health as well and what better time to get exposed than in the morning, when the rays are gentle and benign.
