Every now and again you seem to capture exactly the mood and serenity you felt whilst photographing a scene.
This specific morning was exactly that.
We had been following these lions for days and had become part of their daily routines. In this time I had got to know the different pride members and almost felt a bond growing between myself and the different pride members.
On this morning I watched this lioness whom is know as 'Ma di Tau' from the Last Lions movie by Dereck and Beverly Joubert walk through the mist and stop in a small opening with the sun rising in the background.
It was as if the sun was blessing her with rays of gold...
