Every UAE based photographer knows about the famous 'Dubai Fog', yet few ever manage to capture it. This is not surprising because it is very elusive. You have to be at the right place, at the right time. The reason for that is simple; fog in Dubai is nearly impossible to predict, it comes in the middle of the night and goes away while most people are still in their beds. On top of that, its magic can only be captured from the rooftops of Dubai's tallest skyscrapers.
What makes this particular fog so unusual is that it never occurs at this time of the year! End of October and April is the right time for this phenomenon to occur and when it does, it happens once, maximum twice a year....My advice to prospect fog photographers is to be ready; have your rooftop pre-selected and pre-approved. Get up early in the morning and have the camera on you and ready to go. Always.
