Seeing a cheetah on an anthill in the late afternoon sun against a gunmetal sky just as this one was usually means a lot of pictures. But she never faced us once, and this was one of the rare views of her face that afternoon.
(I was very surprised to see a lot of people aiming their very large lenses from their vehicle rooftops that day. Unfortunately they got unattractive vegetation instead of this sky as a backdrop. Going lower by a few feet and shooting out of the window makes all the difference in the world.)
