One of the last photos taken with my 5D2. About an hour later, way down in the valley below, the camera, with an EF16-35mm lens, were on the tripod when it tipped over a rock and fell 2 metres into the creek onto another rock. The lens broke in two, and the camera drowned. Despite an intensive blow dry and a day buried in 4kg of rice, it never recovered.
Anyway, keen eyes will be able to spot in this photograph a submerged water pipe. This runs the course of the creek, past Leura Cascades, Bridal Veil Falls, Weeping Rock and Leura Falls, dropping several hundred metres along the way. It was constructed over 100 years ago, and its remnants are all but now hidden by the vegetation.
This image was shot with a Canon TS-E 24mm f3.5L Tilt+Shift lens, with horizontal tilt engaged, and a Hoya ND x400 filter and Lee 0.6 Hard Grad ND filter.
