This was taken from the highest mountain in the Clywdian Mountain Range. Moel Famau Jubilee Tower was converted to hold a beacon of fire. This was part of a series of beacons lit across the UK. I took this just after everybody had gone home from the Queens Jubilee celebrations, but as you can see from this shot the Mountain Rescue helped to light the tower with their bright lights! Not intentionally, although a couple were intrigued as to what the hell I was doing waving a light wand around lol.
Even gave a few people a crash course in Light Painting last night! It was brilliant watching their faces when they looked at the back of my camera when I'd finished.
Hats off to the North East Wales Search and Rescue for staying so late and overseeing the event, not to mention waiting for me to bugger off the mountain at midnight!
This was shot at 11.45pm!
