Beth, This came to my attention because on this site the thumbnail is cropped and only shows the center...When I was there, I parked in the lot near by, but did hike down about half way to the lake and thought that very step down would be three steps back, you obviously know that all to well...

Hi Zeph - of course I don't mind a critical suggestion. :) Thanks for your thoughts. I tried a few different crops with this one, including trying to get the sun out of there, and for some reason didn't like it. I will definitely go back (since this shot is a bit older) and look at it again, because I completely agree with you. The sun isn't doing this shot any favours. Thanks again!

Hope you don't me being critical... I like the comp, but find the blown sun overwhelms the scene and distracts from the though's beautiful clouds in the distance. Cropping out the sun would keep the viewers focus on the horizon and keep their interest longer. Everything is pointing towards the valley and the inclusion of the deck really allows the viewer to place themselves in the image. A really fine image Beth.
