El Landro es un río truchero y salmonero. En sus riberas es posible observar ejemplares de mamíferos salvajes como nutria, gato montés, tejón o marta, además de aves rapaces. Tiene cuatro vedados.
Su descenso transcurre por el valle de Viveiro, entre bosques de alisos, pinos y eucaliptos. Una atmósfera de calma, paz y sosiego lo envuelve todo... es pura magia para los sentidos.
En el paraje de Naseiro se celebra la "Romaxe do bo xantar", cita anual con la gastronomía a finales de agosto en la que llegan a participar más de treinta mil personas.
