We had the light of the full moon, but not having been here previously, I wasn't sure how that would play out. We would have needed to stay a few more hours (neither of us willing to do in the bitter cold) to get the full face of the rock in moonlight, so light painting was necessary. I also realized my 16mm was not enough to capture the entire rock face, so on my star trails shots I tried shooting both for the rock and the stars. I'll try to get to that one soon, but it is going to take a bit of work!
