Unlike most of my seascapes, I didn't enjoy making this photo. I had to hike down into a cove, which required crawling down a rocky ledge. Once there, I had to sit for over an hour waiting for the light and sun to do something. It was extremely windy as it often is in Big Sur. Spray on my lens was a continual problem. I have great respect and fear of the ocean, so being down in this cove with the tide coming in made me anxious. The waves down there can be big. I had checked the tides, so I knew I had some time. None the less, it's a lonely feeling stuck down in a cove, alone, with darkness coming and waves crashing around me. Even though I knew I was safe, I still didn't like the feeling at all.
