...When I close my eyes, still today, I see this mixture of blazing half-hues
ornated with sinuous and incomprehensible boughs...
Everything appears to me as a blending of shapes and very abstract tints, this vision fascinates me and guides me...
Even if I still don't succeed as I really would like to, it's by remaining evocative on this destructured projection that I can appreciate it more...
And I wanted to retranscribe this feeling as out of a dream.
This image, like the whole series on the forest is probably my favourite from what I bring back from this expedition.
It is also a good example of what I call a "dreamlike and nature evocative vision". And at the same time I am aware it will not be as successful as the mountain vistas. Except that for me it is more intangible and harder to find compositions like this than to take the impressive scenery, already beautiful by itself.
The forests become magic, but not particulary calming... Rather dense or complicated... And they seem to shelter a heavy and unfathomable sadness. I am not quite able yet to put words on what I feel in those places.
It is a sort of tormented Elegance.
