We shot this in the studio with model, Lenny, who is also undertaking boxing training. This is part of a series of works that explores contemporary notions of masculinity and the way men in the 21st century negotiate conflicting demands set up by traditional and newer notions of masculinity. We painted Lenny with "war paint" in this shoot.
