This was the last shot I got on this evening and my last shot from my Spring break. When I got back up to my car I got a call from my good buddy, Matt Granz. He was at the hospital waiting to see if another buddy, Miguel was going to be alright.
This was the day they were driving down the coast and nearly lost their lives in a head-on collision! (Not their fault) Two months later and both are still recovering from the event in one way or another.
As I was processing this shot, I thought about my journey home on this day...it was a beautiful drive, leisurely, and like my friends, just out doing what I loved and getting some nice shots to bring home with me. I had no idea what had happened across the state.
So I'd like to dedicate this shot to Matt and Miguel and am so happy these two wonderful people are still here with us and look forward to more great times to share. As landscape photographers, we do a lot of traveling and increase our chances of injury or worse. So, as we all head out for adventure over the summer, please be mindful to watch out for the other guy, and take good care.
Love ya, guys!
Thanks as always for stopping by and having a look!
