It is hard to tell from this shot but it was very, very dark when I took this. A lone street light at the end of a long alley was the only glint. I raised the camera, raised my brow and with a slight sigh of resignation he agreed. He looked right at me until the very moment I released the shutter. I could tell I wasn't the first guy to ever take his photo.
Of course this isn't a problem unique to China. As you read this it is happening in every major city in the world.
I'm happy it was a warm night.
