A faint shooting stars streaks through the Milky Way as it reaches upward in front of a lifeguard stand on this Cape May, NJ beach.
I headed out figuring I wouldn't drive too far since I was getting a bit of a late start. Three stops and two hours later I found myself in Cape May on this secluded patch of beach. I've wanted to get a shot like this for some time now, but I never could find the exact location to make it happen. I came across this spot after randomly picking a beach to stop at. I had forgotten my flashlight at home (oops!) so I was using my iPhone light to lead the way. I arrived shortly before Moonrise and enjoyed a beautiful night sky and saw a few shooting stars before I made the trek back to Toms River.
