The Spotted Flycatchers (Muscicapa striata), nesting and feeding their chicks in our garden, are incredibly skilled hunters. Unfortunately I do feel sorry for some of the beautiful insects they sometimes catch. The Butterfly is a Large Skipper( Ochlodes faunus)
The purple in the background is a blurred wild foxglove flower, growing against the garden wall.
