I was recently invited to do a scouting and photography tour of Maine (thank you, Gary Gullett). During the tour we were given permission to shoot at a barn near Wells. This is a working barn well over 200 years old. While shooting the interior, I noticed this shovel near the stalls and the afternoon light seeemed perfect. This is not a staged shot and, despite all the wonderful lighthouses and historic icons, this was probably my favorite image.
