I took this image during my trip to the United Kingdom in 2009. One afternoon while out on a drive somewhere in the Lakes District we stopped at a little car park just off the road and went walking on a trail through some wooded areas.

I had really not expected to find the forest floors covered in Bluebells as I was a few weeks ahead of Spring but lo and behold this is what I was greeted with. It was towards the later afternoon and the light was already beautiful and golden in color and was filtering through the trees of the woodlands casting shadows everywhere.

A great deal of the images from my UK trip were panoramic landscapes and this is one of them. The full size panoramic of this image is quite massive and this preview barely does it much justice.

I can't believe I left this one lurking in my catalog for so long but I am glad it has finally made it to the screen. I know this one will make a stunning print and I think it will see itself on some beautiful fine art paper or canvas very soon.
