The famous little Island with the abbey on top is situated in the Basse-Normandy in North-France.
Surrounded by tides strongly influenced bay, lies this monastery.
Over three million tourists visit this unique place each year.
To really capture the essence of this fairytale place i went to the quite south-west side and paved my way through the treacherous mudflats.
The sky was very cloudy, but just before sun sets some unreal light broke through and i really was a lucky man ;-).
