I’m getting lots of questions on how I did this image, settings, etc. So here it is:
I used a very sturdy Manfrotto tripod, early morning for subtle light. Decided to do this image at f5 because I wanted the stairs to be the main focus. I used a 9 stop Hoya ND filter (and warming filter). I had several different exposures ranging from 15 to 90 seconds. The 90 second shows a beautiful glow on the back of the canyon, which was mostly still dark in the morning and is the reason I chose it, even though I like the 30-45 seconds image as well (I guess just preference). Thank you all for the feedback! Any other questions please send me an email!
