I just drove 2600 miles (4184 km) from Michigan to Oregon. During the first 1100 miles I mostly saw vast fertile farmlands until we reached the Badlands in South Dakota, where the flat plains gave way to the eroded badlands and rolling hills.
This photo was shot in the morning at Badlands National Park in South Dakota, USA.
