Chanthaburi, my hometown, is about 250 kilometers south-east of Bangkok.Its nickname is "Muang Chant" and it is famous for gem trade and many delicious tropical fruits. It is also rich in natural resources with beautiful beaches, waterfalls, coral reefs and mountain tops.
Chanthaburi River is the main vessels and this is the oldest part of the city, Chanthaburi riverfront that has been populated by oversea Chinese and Vietnamese for more than 100 years ago. There is classic Thai temple on the hill above the old town.
