Vette Feltrine, Dolomites, Italy. I love clouds. Obviously, I prefer sunny days to rainy days. Nevertheless, even during shining summer days, I like to spot some clouds here and there. I prefer the ones which have a little bit geometrical identity, with sharp borders and shapes. The best are the cumulonimbus, the kind of clouds that provoke big storms within few minutes, from the time you have spotted them. Obviously, it all depends on how far you are from the closest shelter... I often go trekking, so it's easy to spot a lot of mountain clouds. In the mountains, due to sudden changes of temperatures and winds, clouds have changing dynamics so fast and complex that they are hard to forecast. In this photo, you can clearly see a quite articulated cloud formation, which is rising from the valley to climb over the hill and reach the next valley. In few minutes it will rain.
