At 13 a shark tore off Bethany's arm while surfing in Hawaii. Her spirit and determination did not allow this horrible incident to end her surfing career. Bethany overcame all odds and became a surfing champion and was an inspiration to many others throughout the world. She is truly the SOUL SURFER.
