Melbourne during AFL season is crazy - especially when there is a game on at the infamous MCG. On this particular evening, whilst half the city had their eyes focussed on a Sherrin and feasting on expensive stadium beer, I took advantage of the quiet(er) city streets and escaped the madness for a few cheeky cityscapes shots. I'd visualised this shot on prior trips to Melbourne, however had never had the chance to actually properly shoot it.
I shot both digital and medium format panoramic at this location - the sole purpose was to capture the scene both with and without the impressive flame-show that the Crown Casino puts on every night. So while this one retains a slightly more serene cityscape, keep your eyes peeled for my other shot from the same vantage point but with lots of flamin' fireballs!
