If flowers are capable of emitting emotions, this Gerbera certainly is! She is wild and wanton and very much a Queen of Drama. As I worked on this image, I thought of my own willful daughter.

Filled with surprises, this striking species bears many colors ranging from yellows and oranges to reds, whites, and pinks.

Gerbera Daisies are beautiful, bold, and ornamental; the flower heads range in size from 7 to 12 cm in diameter.

There are approximately 30 species in the wild, extending to South America, Africa, and tropical Asia.

Additionally the Gerbera Daisies have been domesticated and are widely used as both decorative garden plants and cut flowers.
