Image made at Whiteford National Nature Reserve, Gower Peninsula, Swansea, Wales, UK. The sun was setting at the end of a very clear day, producing a really pure yellow/orange sky. This was reflected in the pools of water and wet sand left behind at the tide retreated. Flocks of waders and Oytercatchers, Haematopus ostralegus were coming into roost and feed on the sand. The light levels were low so there was no option but to try and create a representation of the birds coming in to roost.
