I have wanted to photograph an Owl in the wild since I first got into photography, and on a recent trip I was shocked to stumble upon this Spotted Owl in Muir National Monument near San Francisco. I was completely caught off guard as I was prepared to do landscape photos. Luckily the owl was perched close enough so my 24-105 was long enough to get some decent shots. I followed the owl for a good hour and enjoyed every minute! Hopefully next time I will be ready to get some better shots!
