I stalked this guy for 15-30 minutes. He would land and immediately take off. The only thing that kept me going was that he wasn't flying off because of me, he was just flying off. Eventually he settled. I took a few snaps - he didn't move. I took a few more - he didn't move. I got all my kit out, including my tripod, extension tubes and a small reflector, knelt on the grass and set up everything and he sat there like a champ and just let me do my thing.
