A few months ago, a friend of mine told me about a brand new, $20 million Orthodox Catholic church not far from where I live. I headed over there today, got special permission to go inside while there was no service, and followed my strict instructions not to use the flash. As I was snapping, the volunteer groundskeeper started telling me about the construction of the building... of the hand-wrought tile from Italy, the hand-carved solid-wood doors from Turkey, the paintings from Istanbul. The church is modeled on Byzantine-style architecture, full of arches and curves, and it looks stunning on the inside. I hope this shot does some justice to it! I hope to be sharing more with you of this fantastic building soon. Enjoy!
