As an interlude to all the scotland photos I posted recently and will post the next time here's a photo I took some weeks ago during a short trip to the german Alps. It shows the lake Gerold near the Karwendel Mountains in the morning. There was nice fog laying over the lake. The light and color were a beast to get right here. I used a lee 0.6 soft grad during shoot and blended in a second exposure in the brightest parts near the sun. Then I worked most of the time on the colors. In the lower part the light was insanely warm and the sky had this nice blue tone, but it was quite hard to get a natural look with this. I'm not sure if I'm satisfied with the result, I think I need to look at it tomorrow with fresh eyes. But I wanted to share it here so I could hear your thoughts, especially on the colors.
