Although I had been inside Notre-Dame many times, I never ascended the steps until my 6th or 7th visit to Paris. One day the sky looked promising when I walked past so I decided to wait in the long queue. Zero points for originality but I think the mood puts it a cut above what I see on many of the ubiquitous postcard stands around the city.
