Nini and I were in Chicago for our annual conference. We drove in the rain all day to get there and then were very busy meeting our colleagues once we arrived. I noticed the sky changing on our walk home from dinner, called the valet to bring my tripod from the car, and rushed out to see if I could make a photo. I only had time to take two shots! Seriously, I released the shutter only two times and was off. I used spot metering and the zone system to get the exposure close on the first shot, reviewed and adjusted my composition, made a minor (2/3d stop) exposure adjustment, and took this second shot. I hope to find a better composition next time. I'm a bit a perfectionist so it was really hard to just take two shots and run. But that is why I practice so much at home, so I can get the shot when it counts.
