Five minutes after I woke up on a sailboat off the coast of British Columbia, I was photographing a pod of killer whales as they swam out to sea to hunt. I was lucky enough to see one spyhop before they disappeared from sight. This was during a trip to the Great Bear Rainforest in 2010.
