As always the effect is straight out of the camera (long lens, low angle, foreground grass, distant background).
I spent ages trying to get this one right (because these are pretty large plants and this makes getting the 'rising from the mist' look, difficult), the good thing about spending a long time shooting the same plant is that everything is set up if an insect turns up.
