Actually, I was never in girl scouts. Instead, I was an impoverished child growing up in a small town trying to fit in and, at the same time, be someone…..different.
Never having a car, walking everywhere slowed life down significantly. At the time this seemed a forever experience. I realize now it allowed me to slow down and SEE. I saw the sun rays through the leaves of a tree, a soccer ball in an alley way, a sad, lonely dog on a leash. This, as the universe would have it, translated into developing an eye for life. It’s all about capturing the moments.
My friends and family describe me as a photographer. I describe myself as someone who likes to take pictures.
