I am a Sydney-based landscape and seascape photographer, originally from the New England region of New South Wales, Australia.
I appreciate all genres of photography, but I have a particular interest in landscapes. I especially like bleak, cold and moody landscapes capturing harsh climates. My dream locations to photograph include the Yorkshire Dales, The Lake District, and the Scottish Highlands. And of course the coastlines of Great Britain and France, especially Brittany and Normandy. Closer to home I want to explore Tasmania and the South Island of New Zealand.
Growing up in Inverell, a small country town in the Aussie ‘bush’ I also feel a strong connection to the wide open spaces and rural landscapes of the vast Australian interior. In contrast to this, having rarely seen the ocean as a child, its awesome power and beauty holds a great fascination for me, and I could happily sit and watch the ebb and flow of the waves all day. Living in Sydney, a lot of my current attention is focused on seascapes, and I love to discover new locations, and explore fresh perspectives of well-known places.
I am happily using my Sony A850 & Carl Zeiss lenses in the fierce Nikon & Canon jungle out there, and recently invested in my first set of Lee GND’s, opening up a whole new world of possibilities for landscapes and seascapes.
Thanks for dropping by my page. I hope you enjoy my work!
