Saidazim Fazilov is a young photographer and graphic designer; creator of his own brand name SaAz. Being based in Uzbekistan, Saidazim found the art and culture of his country as a richest source of inspiration. He uses people in traditional clothing and ethnic surrounding to show the beauty of Central Asia’s heritage. The first successful project of Saidazim is called “People of Khiva”. Saidazim photographed them in 2010 during one of his travel to this ancient city which is allocated in Khorazm region, Uzbekistan. Artistic and dynamic portraits were published in numerous local and foreign media; demonstrated during the International Photo Biennale in Tashkent in 2010 and were noticed by professional photographers and editors worldwide. For the next years Saidazim worked over new photographs from other regions as well. Saidazim cooperated with local Forum of Culture and Arts of Uzbekistan Foundation in many well known projects. But mostly he appreciates the Festival of Traditional Art “Asrlar Sadosi”, for its greatest impact on a concept of his future artworks. Today Saidazim experiences fashion and advertisement photography mixed with graphic design. He still continues to work over his experimental artworks inspired by beauty of Asian cultural heritage.
